Join us for this holiday tale runner class using the 60 degree ruler. This is a fun class using border fabrics to create an wonderful angled table runners or even a Christmas tree skirt.

Have you thought of making a French Braid quilt but didn't know where to begin? Come join this class Sept. 30 and see how simple it really is. Choose from a variety of Kaffe Fassett, Batiks, or any other combination of fabrics you like. You will need to purchase the book "French Braid Quilts" by Janet Hardy Miller (available at the shop). A material list will be provided when you sign up for the class.

Want the convenience of a quilt retreat while staying home? Join our quilt camp. Meet new friends and socialize while getting your quilting done. You can bring your own projects or choose to do one of the 3 projects (Quilt, Table Runner, Sewing Machine Cover) that we will demonstrate. Barbara & Cheri will help with your ironing, ripping, pinning and any sewing questions. No need to take your machines home at the end of the day, just leave in place and be ready to start again the next day. Lunch provided on Saturday. A Beginning Quilting Class Wednesday evenings 6:00-9:00 pm 8 classes thru Nov. 1, 2017 You will learn 14 different quilt patterns. Degree of difficulty increases each week. Bring your own sewing machine with its manual and you must have experience using it. A quarter inch sewing foot is required. The book Quilts, Quilts, Quilts, 2nd edition (not 3rd) is required and is available to purchase at Golden State Quilting before first class. (class discount included) Quilting basics will include rotary cutting, quilt rulers, quarter inch seams, half square triangles, flying geese, Y seams, templates, applique, bias cut fabric, easy curves, fusible web and square up blocks A list of tools and fabric needed is available at registration. Finished quilt top approx. 36 x 48, twelve blocks of 12 inches.

Join us to make this beautiful quilt from Reproduction fabrics. Your kit includes all the fabric needed for the entire quilt top including the border of flying geese. You will need the 6.5" Easy Angle Ruler by Sharon Hultgren and the Companion Angle ruler by Darlene Zimmerman (both are available at the shop). There will be some cutting required before the class so sign up early and get your kit. Cutting instructions will be emailed to you after you sign up.
