Quilt is 60” x 60” Sew Kind Of Wonderful Mini Quick Curve Ruler

Fabric requirements as listed on the pattern:

(7) 1⁄3 yard cuts assorted warm color fabrics
(8) 1⁄3 yard cuts assorted cool color fabrics
1 yard gray fabric for accent strips
(10) 1⁄3 yard cuts assorted low volume background fabrics 4 yards backing

1⁄2 yard binding

Please note:
The sample at the shop was made from a stash of many leftover fabric pieces. Instead of using assorted low volume background fabrics the sample uses one color. If you choose to use one color you will need approximately 4 1⁄2 yards of background.

French Braid Requirements

Book: French Braid Quilts by Jane Hardy Miller with Arlene Netten

The sample quilt is made from the pattern “Lucy’s Leftover Watercolor Kit” on page 20 of the book. Quilt size 55” x 74”.

Fabric requirements as listed on the pattern:

1⁄2 yard each of 10 fabrics for the braid run - fat quarters OK
1⁄2 yard for accent squares - 2 fat quarters OK
1⁄4 yard for starting triangles - fat quarters OK if nondirectional (1⁄2 yard for one-way directional fabric)
1⁄4 yard nondirectional for ending triangles - fat quarter OK (1⁄2 yard for one-way directional fabric)

Borders, backing and binding

3⁄8 yard inner borders
1 yard outer borders ( 1 7⁄8 yards if you prefer not to piece it)
3 1⁄2 yards backing if pieced crosswise (4 1⁄2 yards if pieced lengthwise) 1⁄2 yard for binding
