Supply list for Log Cabin quilt

For 40” quilt you will need:

1 yard each of two contrasting fabrics (one light, one dark, for example)
¼ yard accent fabric for block centers, should contrast with other two choices. Fat quarters are fine

For 52” quilt you will need:

1 ½ yard each of two contrasting fabrics (see above)
¼ yard accent fabric for block centers, should contrast with other two choices. Fat quarters are fine

Additional supplies:

Sewing machine with ¼” foot
Neutral thread (grey or tan are good choices)
Extra machine needles
Rotary cutting mat (18” x 24” is a good size)
Rotary cutter with sharp blade (45mm is a good size)
Rotary cutting ruler (6” x 24” is a good size to start with. Additional sizes will be discussed in class)
Notepad and pen/pencil
Pins
Small scissors or thread snips
Seam Ripper
Camera/phone
