Log Cabin Quilt



Supply list for Log Cabin quilt
Instructor:  Sandra Woodard

For 40” quilt you will need:

  • 1 yard each of two contrasting fabrics (one light, one dark, for example)
  • ¼ yard accent fabric for block centers, should contrast with other two choices. Fat quarters are fine
For 52” quilt you will need:
  • 1 ½ yard each of two contrasting fabrics (see above)
  • ¼ yard accent fabric for block centers, should contrast with other two choices. Fat quarters are fine
Additional supplies:
  • Sewing machine with ¼” foot
  • Neutral thread (grey or tan are good choices)  
  • Extra machine needles
  • Rotary cutting mat (18” x 24” is a good size)
  • Rotary cutter with sharp blade (45mm is a good size)
  • Rotary cutting ruler (6” x 24” is a good size to start with. Additional sizes will be discussed in class)
  • Notepad and pen/pencil
  • Pins
  • Small scissors or thread snips
  • Seam Ripper
  • Camera/phone
